I nominate Ludi poster of the day! Hey Ludi! You fucking rock! All kidding aside, I remember when Paul Saltman, the deceased biology and nutrition expert from UCSD came to a high school I was working at. He gave his controversial lecture to the faculty. I listened to him in the gathering afterwards. He cussed like a sailor, too. I thought it was fascinating, here's this scholar cussing like a sailor. The other teachers around me had odd looks on their faces. The body language seemed to suggest to me that they were jealous of his sense of freedom to express himself any way he damned well pleased.

Don't reduce yourselves to clicking on the smilies or tapping out 5th grade profanity; say what you think is right but do it with some thought.

If you can't express yourself in a civil manner and in doing so challenge your opponent to respond in kind, I guess you might as well be driving down the freeway and giving people the bird from your a/c'ed cab with your foot to the floor.

I think kids should be taught to swear at an early age to break down the stigmatism of using such words. They are only words man. I mean who really gives a fornication.

I cuss like a sailor.

See, self deprecation in the face of an attack is a good ploy and Ludi does this well.

Ludi and I have had some great arguments on this board and never resorted to profanity that I remember.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('BigTex', 'A')NewHuman, swear words are part of the English language, some people think poorly of those words, I suggest we use caution when using them.

If you think there is something wrong with simply suggesting that profanity be used a little more sparingly, I would like to hear your reasoning.

I am simply offering my opinion. Eastbay has made this same suggestion on several occasions, and I think it's a good one.

I think I get it. More swearing will bring a happier and better society.

Actually, I suspect there is a strong correlation between increased use of swear words and increased BAC.

This leads to: Higher BAC leads to more swearing leads to all around happiness. It's so simple and brilliant!!

What?

What is the "root of the human problem"?

Suggesting that profanity be used with a little more efficiency is not keeping humans down. You want to talk about illogical crap, THAT'S illogical.

Ergo, if you only have a 7.62 NATO rifle, everything looks like a target.

However, if you have a diversified portfolio of weapons, everything still looks like a target.

It seems I just don't understand.
