I just had a wreck this morning. I think I broke a few ribs, So I am going to the doctors to have it wrapped. The car is totaled.

At least it wasn't my fault.

Sorry to hear that - good thing you're [mostly] OK, though.

Congratulations on the wreck. Insurance settlements can offer a new start. I should also say its good that you are not being cleaned up with a sponge.

I use to be a wickedly effective total loss adjuster for MetLife, PM me if need help negotiating a settlement. I know a few tricks .Depending on which company you are being "Indemnified" with I can help you get a better deal or at least make sure you are not being ripped off.

I remember a VP telling me we need to "Make sure we offer the lower end of what is fair" once.

800 mg Of Ibuprofen every eight hours is what you need. It will give you some very good pain control and will reduce swelling.

Take it very easy today because tomorrow you are likely going to be in more discomfort.

Not to try to steal your thunder, I almost got into a wreck. It was raining and was beginning to spin out of control on an exit from the highway. It was just slight, so nothing big (at least in comparison). Just pointing out we almost had two wrecks (but of different magnitudes, likely).

Best of luck in your recovery and court case. If/When you get a settlement, use the money wisely. Or not; not like you can't use a vacation or a little splurging after something like this.

Blowing the engine in my car was the best thing to happen to me. I now bike or bus everywhere, and I will NEVER own a gasoline engine vehicle again.

My perceived need for a gas vehicle was a fabricated myth perpetrated by oil-centric sheeple. Now I see the light.

Don't count it. I know someone who was nearly killed in a car wreck and they got nothing from the courts. The laws are written to favor the automobile culture so there is near universal no fault coverage for drivers. If you want to murder someone run them down with your car because there a very good chance you are going to get away with it.

Ibuprofen is magic. I had a root canal several years ago and I fully expected to get a prescription for percodan or something like that. Instead, the dentist prescribed 600 mg of ibuprofen every 4 hours for a couple days. I was skeptical at first -- but I had no pain at all with that.

How can it hurt if the nerve is dead? I've had a root canal , no medication, no pain , $110.

Oppah! With all them doctors and new car payments you 'll think that gay sex was a mere walk , if not less! Civil suit :) Add lawyer's payments too.
But look at the brighter side-- you will be buying less gas, so we can buy more at a cheaper rate.

The other driver sounds like a complete jerk...driving with no insurance and then causing a serious accident.

Take it easy and take care of yourself, bunny-guy. The ibuprofen is magic.
