On the news they had gas thieves punching holes in locked gas tanks of vehicles to drain the gas.

In wealthy vacation home areas, they would break in and steal the copper plumbing and the copper pots and pans when the houses are vacant.

WOW...gas isn't even that high yet.

If gold skyrockets they will start mugging people to rip out their crowns!

Seems to me gas was about 1/3 the cost about 10 years ago. I'd say it's already skyrocketed.

Here is an example of what I’m seeing already. We have a neighbor who’s house (double-wide actually) we can see from our property. He works at the local mill in town, about 18 miles away. When we first moved here he had a large truck. He would come home every night at the end of his shift except Friday when there was probably some tavern trawling going on. As time passed, he bought a smaller truck and started riding his motorcycle in the warmer months. Now we only see him out here on the weekends and maybe one night a week. We know he’s got a girl in town, so he’s undoubtedly staying there. He’s adapted as best he can to the high prices, but he may be at his limit. Undoubtedly within the year he will put the place on the market and try to unload it. At least that is what we’re hoping.
