So...$600 is suppose to do the trick...

What's on your mind?
General interest discussions, not necessarily related to depletion.

So...$600 is suppose to do the trick...

And when it does not...??

The legacy of lies and deception from the Bushites/Neocons/Royal Elite is endless.

Just seems a bit odd - this is being sold as the one thing that will pull the global economy out of its current tail spin.

For all the marbles...

What's next when it did not work...what will the big chimp say?

"things like this take time"...oh really...

"mission accomplished"...uh-huh...

"should we use ky next?"

Hmmmmm..."Iranian" warships fired upon...

UG99 wiping out every grain of wheat in its path...

Oil at $120 ish (hey tyler...getting closer bro to my $50 from you)

And $600 is suppose to do the trick.

Smells like a rat.

I really don't think Bush has a clue about what $600 can buy, or what that amount means to the typical American family.

He's just trying to prime the pump and if this doesn't work, another injection will be tried again and again and again. What a scam. He's basically putting a mortgage on everybody's house, and giving you the cash derived. Leaving the debt and interest payments for you to pay in the long run. Who do you think gets the major part of the interest payments? Regular American working folks? No, the American elite and these days, their good friends across the pond, both ponds, Saudis and Chinese.

Only $120 by April 25th is actually bad news for "your side".

At the beginning of the year oil traded for $100 a barrel. Now a third of the way through the year we are only at $120. The slope towards $200 has gotten steeper as now there are only 180 trading days left in the year.

We shall see...

When the GDP data comes out next week it could be interesting. If we see a real contraction, oil could be back down to $100 by May/June.

We may never see $50 oil again but we're going to see $100 before we see $200.

As for the rebate. It's election year pandering. You know it, I know it, and our generous Chinese/Saudi creditors know it too.

Adding insult to injury, no one in my family qualifies for the rebate! We aren't getting shit from Uncle Sam this year. Maybe next time...

Enjoy your check, Roccman. 8)

Dude, you should have reported "extra income from miscellaneous sources".

They would never know the difference.

Worst case, I pay you a $32 consulting fee. You collect your check. And you send me $50 back.

Everyone wins.

I wish you'd told us sooner, we could have fixed it for ya.

Ssoo... If you have direct deposit on your tax return, you will be getting the money by next Friday.
The rest will be receiving it at least four days earlier than previously scheduled.
Guess the loan money came in early...

$600 is enough for a good new bike

And I’m in pretty good position on the 2008 price challenge.

I doubt you'll see any "boost" from $600. People are so strapped right now, they will simply pay bills with it. Now $3000, that would have an affect.

The thing is that we are at the point where the the great inflation exportation machine is shut down. Any extra money put into circulation means even more inflation; just like Germany, prior to WW2. We're screwed.

18 cu yards of marsh dirt (delivered) -$250

600 concrete blocks- $600

bobcat work to prep pad for new "barn"-$100

other - $whatever else is left.
------------

barn for the goats and close to 2000 sq foot of new garden space where there was just sand and weeds - priceless

Your doing what the government wants you to do, to go out and buy stuff with it. Hoard the cash or buy PM's with it.

I would have thought people here at peakoil know they don't buy new stuff, they find or buy secondhand stuff for pennies on the dollar.

Save up another $300 and you might beable to still buy an ounce of gold at $900.
