It's a file sharing server.

Thanks for the heads up! Demonoid used to be the go-to place for audiobooks, documentaries and other less popular material. Hope it will become better than ever.

Am I missing something here? What's wrong with P2P such as limewire?

Edit: I guess some material may be hard to find on P2P networks. Hmmm, I'l have a look.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('davep', 'A')m I missing something here?

If you haven't tried BitTorrent, you're missing out on a whole heck of a lot.
For Windows I would recomment uTorrent wholeheartedly as a client.

Torrent tracking websites are abundant. Demonoid is good, but requires registration. The most infamous open tracker is doubtlessly the Pirate Bay. It's as good a place as any to start. Or just type "<whatever tickles your fancy> torrent" in google. It's that simple.

Limewire is a bittorrent client. I sometimes go to the likes of Mininova et al for swarms. However, I thought from the original post that this was a data server, as opposed to a bittorent pointer. I was wrong... I guess it's just a question of improving your searches.
