$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('JJ', '"')opportunity" for "problem"

this is what they use at work.

From what I understand they are the same word in Cantonese. Oh, no. That is conflict and opportunity.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('threadbear', 'O')h, OH...Almost forgot...My worst.."memes" I know sometimes it's used correctly, but I find so many people when trying to sound very contemporary and intelligent, use this word, at least once during the course of a conversation.

We are really into words and word origins at our house.
We were just trying to think of a sentence in which the word "meme" would be correctly used.

Could you (or someone here) give us an example? We know what it means ... we just can't figure out how to use it correctly.

Help?

eco-friendly
eco-tourism
eco-safe

When I hear eco-anything I just want to grab my AK and start mowing down sh*t.

social justice

When I hear the words social justice, I put on my Che Guevera t-shirt, grab my copy of Das Kapital and run out to the World Workers Party demonstration.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Jenab6', '
')I think that euphemisms that try to represent alien groups as Americans are especially revolting.

African American
Native American
Jewish American
Mexican American

I don't like hyphenization either but this is nothing but a bigoted rant, pure and simple. An american citizen is an american citizen regardless of their ethnicity.

Then they need to drop their whining if people don't 'properly' refer to them as [whatever ethnicity] - American and accept the generally inclusive 'American'...

Do people really whine about not being called "African-American" or "Mexican-American"? I should think none of them would mind being called "American."

I've never heard the kind of whining you describe.....but then, I don't get out much.

You'll get food stamps if you meet the income requirements set by your state, and you'll probably get additional food stamps if you have dependents.
