Just to give a taste of SHTF,the electric company is on strike here for the last couple of weeks so we are getting daily blackouts anywhere from 2-8 hours.
Theyre arguing with the govt about their insurance benefits or some such, but its crazy.
People are getting trapped in elevators for hours, gas stations cant pump gas,Atm's dont work, cities in darkness at night..
And if that isnt enough, the (central) Bank of Greece is on strike for pretty much the same thing since last Friday,so money is getting short at other banks and Atms.
And if thats not enough, the trash collectors decided to do it too,so there are mounds and mounds of trash buiding up in the city and the smell is getting bad.
Pretty soon the rats will be out.

And this is only the beginning.

Many governments around the world have been financing their operations with debt (as a US citizen, I've fretted about this for years). Now the party is starting to end, and it's going to bring the whole house of cards down on our heads.

The fiat money system could have worked, but when you have idiots at the controls then you get what you get.

Do what you can to prepare your family for hard times. Get out of debt as quickly as you can. Stock up on the essencials. Have a plan to get you through loss of utiliites. Then create a plan B, C and D.

Don't forget that there is a plan Z (leave no witnesses).
