Rocc, I'm a little concerned for your hens. They like to lay their eggs in an isolated dark place. Those nest boxes look a bit too exposed and sunny. I would build a little wall about 12 inches in front of the boxes and put a steep roof from that wall to the back of the boxes. Also are the nest raised off of the floor. They also like that, though they will lay right on a pile of hay or straw. Mainly, though they like the secluded darker areas.

Looks nice roccman!

I hope it works out for you. I had some trouble a while back with trying to raise some chicks. An animal got in the barn and ate them all up! But your fencing looks less redneck then mine... :lol:

Dang sorry to hear that Steamy...

The coop made the journey today to the farmlette...I wish I were there now...but alas...there is good work that needs to be done in the city for the moment. I will be there soon.
