Except the coloreds of the tropics tend to spend most of their spare time attacking each other from surprise, or poisoning each other, or putting evil spells on each other etc.

Meanwhile the Vikings were creating modern eqalitarian gov't and art and so on.

I am shocked to hear that from you, especially considering that its your ancestry. Lapps are only white people with special adaptation to cold, and the main reason that they are not Mongoloids is that this adaptation is entirely different from one present in Mongoloids or Australoids.

Sorry, didn't mean to shock you Pretorian. I'm not buying into any particular theory... just sharing the popular ones. To be more accurate, I should have said, "... just maybe aren't 100% European."

Your theory may be correct too. Who knows? The mystery of where the Sami Finns came from is a deep one so maybe you're correct.

However, for the 'regular' Finns the proof is pretty obvious. Just look at them. Yellow hair, pretty colored eyes. 100% White. Case closed.

Now, Micki, we're the same ancestry, it seems. I happen to be unusually comfortable in cool weather and conditions. Our house thermostat is set at 60 all winter. I like to heat the house by opening the blinds. If it was me living alone the heater would be off all year and I would just add another long sleeve shirt. I ride my scooter wearing shorts when it's 50 degrees. I really believe it comes from my Lapp blood.

On the other hand... I'm quite comfy in the tropics too... doing 7k runs daily when there. So who knows.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('I_Like_Plants', 'I') thought whites in general are adapted for cold, the pale skin, more hair, and a different mentality, the deferred-reward and work-ethic things which are positive adaptations to places with real winters.

No we aren't, ILP. Only Mongoloids Australoids and Lapps have this perk.

Any appreciation towards Native Americans (or American Indians)?

I like their artwork and crafts. In the last few years I have been listening to music done by American Indians as well.

There was a documentary on PBS about the "Miss Navajo" pagent. The women have to memorize the history of the Navajo people and recite to the audience. They also have to sing in their native tounge as well. I rather watch that than a typical Miss American show.

I need to go to a pow-wow someday.

If they speak anything like in the movies, then yeah, north american native indians rock (as long as they stay off the fire water.)

Unfortunately most of my education about indians just comes from movies.
I did however see a very interesting documentary on Little Big Horn and evidence show that the Indian version of the battle is accurate. Custers guys did not stay on the hill for the last battle, they ran like little girls.

I like the peaceful Navajos also. Their mythology and prophecies are very interesting.

Scandinavians generally lived very much in peace with the Indians when they migrated to America.
The English (now I'm going to get flamed) are the ones who have taken the imperialst attitude where ever they've gone. India, Australia, America and so on. It would have been great if whites could have assimilated instead of conquered. Not like just buying the land would have cost so much. Some beads and magic pieces of glass that reflects the image of the looker would have bought a couple of states.

I absolutely love cultural diversity and think that one of the most atrocious things in the world is the destruction of indigenous cultures, languages, and peoples by globalization and cultural imperialism. When I see footage from Africa or southeast Asia, heirs to ancient and unique cultures and civilizations, and everyone looks like they just walked out of the Gap, I find it nauseating. The idea of everyone on Earth dressing the same, listening to the same music, watching the same movies, and having the same ideas once globalization has conquered all is a nightmare.
My hope is that we can preserve the world's many cultural traditions from the onslaught of globalization without falling prey to the elitism of multiculturalism; multiculturalism, as it is usually understood, has nothing to do with protecting cultural diversity. I think it's an empirical fact that the vast majority of people in the world see their identity in their family, their faith, and their heritage. It is in these people that we find the true cultural diversity around the world and where there remains hope that it can still be preserved, against globalization, if that's even possible at this point. The alternative is to embrace the nauseating homogeny of globalization.
One of these now am I too, a fugitive from the gods and a wanderer, at the mercy of raging Strife.

Cynus...

This is so very true. Multi-culturalism kills diversity. It mixes and blends everyone into a dull and grey colored blend of K-Mart shoppers.

The only way to guard against the death of diversity is strong heavily guarded national borders.

American Indians have a hell of a lot of drunkenness, violence, incest, all kinds of nasty social pathologies. Some of them talk a good line, but it was taught to them by white people. I'm not saying there are no Indians who are cool, there are. But you'd not want to live around them. Just like you'd not want to live around blacks, etc.

this "noble-ness" we Whites see around us in other peoples is just us projecting.

Read the accounts of those who have dealt with coloreds and you'll find a much less noble picture, such as Kipling, Twain, Lincoln, any explorers and venturers really.

Who's blog is it? I read a few of the posts, and I swear it could be a Chinese person living in Hong Kong or from Hong Kong.
