$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('jasonraymondson', 'I') figure it is better to be the well eqiped guy with the guns than to be the guy wandering around trying to find work, and then being shot by the guy who joined as he inforcing homeland oppression.
They just better never ask me to salute Bush.
Yeah, Sigh, I think you have it pegged JayJay.
You should be able to post here regularly, and I'm sure we'd all love to hear from you, maybe even "adopt" your unit, and send ya stuff.
As for the rest of us here on the homefront, we're gonna hold us a little re-enactment of the 1930s thank you very much. I don't think gov't goons will get much traction here, bunch'a crazy ass sniper wannabees up here, trouble is, some of us wannabees can shoot pretty good lol. But you never know, I'm kind of hoping this area is mostly passed over, and the main "pacification" will be in the cities.
Reading about what happened in Germany in the 20s and 30s is educational. There were pitched battles in the streets between various rightist and leftist groups, and the Soviets made pretty great inroads. The population got pretty damned fed up with the street fighting and voting Hitler in was a big relief. And it was a big improvement, as long as you were German. It'd be lying to say otherwise.
As far as the saluting Bush goes, you will salute whoever is President, I'd think you'd have learned that the first time around. You might not like him/her, but you will salute them. However, your oath is to defend the Constitution as well, so things could get interesting. I'd say, don't make any grand gestures, it's just not worth it.
