It's shameful.

Where is FOX NEWS now.

Do you rely on FOX for all your news? There are other media organisations out there, you know.

And since a conservative new magazine covered this story why do you somehow see that as a reason to bash conservatives for not covering this story. Say wha???? Who do you think just covered it?

Back in the real world, Fox news isn't the only US news outlet. It turns out that in addition to FOX, there are other networks in the US like CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS. There are also major papers like the LA Times, the NY Times, etc. All of these MSM news organizations except FOX are generally considered to be "liberal" yet none of them are discussing this story.

Why do you suppose that is?

The liberal media is covering this story up.

Why would the "liberal media" cover up a story about proliferation of American nuclear secrets by an international network of moles which includes the active participation of Conservative and Neo-Conservative operators?

Try to understand what the story is about. You'll find that many of the events in question happened prior to 1999 (i.e. during the liberal Clinton administration). 8)

The highest named figure in this story is Marc Grossman, who supposedly spied for Turkey. And who connected Grossman and Turkey?

For Immediate Release September 12, 1994
PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES MARC GROSSMAN
AS AMBASSADOR TO TURKEY

President Clinton today announced his intention to nominate Marc Grossman, of Virginia, a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Counselor, as Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey.

Marc Grossman most recently served as Special Assistant to Secretary of State Warren Christopher and as Executive Director of the Department of State

The liberal media is anything but actually liberal. They are pro-corporate and pro-Israel.

But as far as the Sibel Edmond's allegation concerns, the story itself begins with her employment as a translator. This commenced in early 2002.

The highest named political figure is Speaker Of The House Dennis Hastert. That's pretty fuckin high.

Grossman's been involved in Washington politics for years. That in itself is not criminal. Sibel Edmond's story begins in 2002. The story concerns an international network of spies and moles who bribe and otherwise obtain entre to steal US nuclear secrets.

How can you possibly defend the reigning party against that? That's the worst treason I've ever heard of. Especiallyt since bush, Cheney, Rice and others have incessantly drummed the nuclear proliferation threat into the American public since the get-go.

Seems like you are more interested in defending Conservatives and Republicans than hearing the rest of what Edmond's has to say.

I find all this very interesting but I still have not managed to get my head around the following question.

Here we have high gov. employees. They know what NSA , FBI, CIA etc. can do in terms of eavesdropping. They are not worried discussing such stuff on phones or even with foreign gov. officials in person?

DC is not only observed by US special services don't forget. There are others fishing for something. Hence blackmail material galore for other gov. if these people were doing this.

The situation sounds insane :-)

Sibel Edmonds would have simply been written off as a crackpot had not Ashcroft and, later the judicial system itself, gagged her with a little-used States Secrets Act.

And the US media won't touch it with a ten foot pole despite it's attention in the foreign press!! Is this not totally glaring!!

My guess is that a lot of people are getting hush-money and a lot of people are very worried about getting snuffed.

i'm concerned about Sibel Edmonds getting snuffed.

article at the London Times

“What I found was damning,” she said. “While the FBI was investigating, several arms of the government were shielding what was going on.”

"Edmonds said the State Department official once again proved useful. “A primary target would call the official and point to names on the list and say, ‘We need to get them out of the US because we can’t afford for them to spill the beans’,” she said. “The official said that he would ‘take care of it’.”

The four suspects on the list were released from interrogation and extradited."

The link above to Sibel Edmonds interview in the London Times didn't work for me. Here is the actual link:

Sibel Edmonds interviewed by London TImes

Sibel is very clear in this interview that the spy networks she describes were in operation from at least 1997 on, with key events happening in 2000.

Thats probably why this story only is being covered by the conservative Murdoch owned London Time and the conservation Buchanan magazine in the US.... IMHO, the MSM in the US won't touch the story because much of the malfeasance occurred during the Clinton Administration. 8)

And who knows who the players have been since inception? Those in power refuse to investigate it. Nothing like this ever came to light during Clinton's term.

Sibel Edmonds was gagged by AG Ashcroft and the Bush Administration. Why would they stifle credible allegations of treason regardless of where it began?

Why would the Bush Administration continue to sound alarms over nuclear proliferation when such a nuclear spy network exists in the halls of Washington?

Seems like real patriots would actively root out the evil and get to the the truth rather than lamely pointing at the previous administration.

I agree.

The conservative Buchanan magazine and the Murdoch-owned London Times have reported on this story and done their bit to get this story in front of the public. Good for them.

IMHO, now its time for FOX or one of the liberal MSM (i.e. CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS, Washinton Post, NY TIMES, LA TIMES, etc.) to stop covering this story up.

Alternatively, one of the Investigative committees in the house or the Senate should look into this matter. When Pelosi and Reid get tired of voting for more billions and billions of dollars to be sent to Iraq, maybe they should look into the Sibel Edmonds affair. 8)

At least the London Times and the Bucanan magazine in the US have the guts to give Ms. Edmonds an opportunity to tell her story.

Sibel Edmonds Must be Heard - Phillip Giraldi Feb 4, '08

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'E')dmonds should also be listened to because she clearly had access to the documents that she describes and because she has proven that she is a credible witness. Two US Senators and the 9/11 Commission found her testimony and recollection of facts to be reliable, as did an FBI Inspector General's office internal investigation. More to the point, if Edmonds is telling the truth there are documents in FBI files that would confirm her account. What she is claiming, if it is all true, is fact-based, not speculative.

But the media remains silent in spite of considerable efforts to get them on board and provide some coverage of her very serious charges. Since the recent Sunday Times articles, her story has been brought to the attention of news editors at MSNBC's Keith Olbermann, to PBS's Bill Moyers, to The New York Times, The Washington Times, and to both ABC and CBS news in an attempt to arouse some interest. But there has been no response, not even a courteous "Thank you very much for contacting us...." What are so-called gadflies like Olbermann and Moyers afraid of? The suggestion that the media does not want to face the potential legal consequences of the gag order has been cited but lacks substance as much of the Sibel story is already out in public and the details of her allegations can be pieced together without actually interviewing her in violation of the state secrets privilege. Also, no one in the media has actually claimed that the lack of interest is based on the potential legal consequences. The silence has been deafening, suggesting that other forces are at work.

And it is not just the media. Congress has a responsibility to look into Edmonds' allegations. Congressman Henry Waxman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has been stonewalling Edmonds and her supporters, preferring instead to look into steroids use among professional athletes. To be sure, some in the media and Congress are undoubtedly nervous because the Edmond's story involves Israel and corrupt officials both in Washington and Tel Aviv. Many of the American former and current officials involved are considered to be particularly close to the Israeli government and to the Israeli lobby AIPAC. Others fear that FBI investigative reports or wiretaps revealing illegal contributions or bribery of congressmen could open up a can of worms that many would prefer to keep closed.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'A')rticle III of the Constitution of the United States defines treason as giving aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States. This has been interpreted by US courts to include the selling or betrayal of defense secrets to foreign powers. Sibel Edmonds is talking about treason at the highest levels of the United State government and it is clear that a cover up is going on orchestrated by the Bush Administration that is being aided and assisted by an acquiescent media. It is time that Sibel's voice be heard.

Simple: One needs an "enemy" or "bogeyman" to seduce the populace into handing over freedoms wilfully.

The intent is (as we've all worked out by now) turn the United States into a Fascist/Police state.

Unfortunately, it appears to be working.

Scott Horton Interviews Former CIA Officer Phillip Giraldi About His American Conservative Article On Sibel Edmonds

Right click. Save. MP3 file.

Pretty good interview.

Giraldi says the Sibel Edmonds information links Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, Marc Grossman, AIPAC, the Israelis, the Turks, the Pakistanis, Larry Franklin, the Valerie Plame scandal, high level officials at the Pentagon and State Department, etc... to steal and offer for sale US nuclear and other weapons systems information.

It's a very interesting story... that no one wants to hear about!
