If you give a man a fish you will have kept him from hunger for a day. If you teach a man to fish he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

If it's any consolation, I just came off of a 5 day fast to greet the new year and lost 10 pounds in the process.

What sort of fast did you do? I'm just wrapping up day 6 of my lime-sugar cane juice fast. I'll do 10 days then see where things'll go from there.

Why'd you choose that name, btw? My RL nick is "The Turtle." I was really, really fat as a baby- came out 12 lbs- and I guess the way I paddled my arms in the air when placed on my belly reminded my dad so much of a turtle.
