$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Denny', 'J')ust bear in mind, that Naomi Klein is connected by marriage to a very socialist political party, the Canadian New Democratic Party". This party is always coming out against free market economic principles. It favors unions, farmers, and small business, creating divisions against banks and multinational corporations, and especially most things of U.S. influence.
They are idealistic, not not practical. Most recently, they are favoring a $10 per hour minimum wage.
Many are afraid that if they come to power, Canada will become the Sweden of North America.
As if the corporate greedsters want "free" markets. They want "open" markets where they merge, form oligopolies, consolidate power, control the political system and curtail true economic freedom by limiting real competition. So don't kid yourself. The U.S. isn't a beacon on a hill, it's flashing yellow hazard light.
And who cares if Klein is married to Avi Lewis, or if Canada were to become the Sweden of the North, as if that's a faith worse than death?
