Damn I love stuff like that! I fixed a friend's Eliason rear sight on his .45 using the smooth part of a drill bit, I've had some fun doing amateur gunsmithing like that....
I love it when it just takes some simple piece of stuff, to fix or improve something that would be very expensive for the average person.
Or just taking a $1.29 tube of spackle and hiding all the holes in my apartment before leaving it, and having it look better than it probably has since it was new - most of the holes were not mine! And the trick to using spackle to really hide a hole is to wet your finger to smooth it down.
