I have visited/worked/lived at 15 or so places on that list. There are a number of intentional communities in addition to small family farms on the list. Mostly, I've had good experiences but I have had an occasional experience where I felt somewhat exploited.

If you have any specific questions, let me know.

The only place I worked (or I should say volunteered) at on the West Coast was Salt Creek Farm in Port Angeles, WA. I did an internship there for 7 months.

Cool, thanks bill. I'll send you a PM (unless you'd like to discuss specific places here for any curious people who are reading).

New Organic Farming Volunteer Website

Unread postby billg » Sun 20 Sep 2009, 09:45:18

Check it out...the site is expanded and replaces organicvolunteers.org...it doesn't include countries outside of the US and South America presumably because they have their own thriving WWOOFing programs.

Any questions about volunteering/working on organic farms, let me know as i have lots of experience with this.
