Thanks Eli. That pretty much sums it up for me. Nothing like a nice cheese sandwhich and a bowl of hot soup on a cold day to make the world right! ; - )

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Eli', '.')..I called my mom the day I hit Fusion and told her what I had done. She told me that she had never been so proud of me, she cried...she actually cried. She even came down to the basement to take a look and everything, later she made me a nice cheese sandwich.

I like cheese.

There is a whole world of wisdom in those simple statements.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Heineken', 'I') nominate Loki for "expert" ranking.

He brings tremendous survivalist and other practical knowledge to the site, as well as a unique philosophical bent. And he wraps it all in good, unpretentious English.

Thanks H. I was wondering what the heck that thing on the side was.

I'm not an expert in anything, though. As I said to you in an earlier post, I'm a hypergeneralist. That's why I can't get a decent-paying job!

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Keith_McClary', 'W')hat is this "red, black & yellow stripe" you speak of?

It's gone. :)

I was wrong. It's still there, I just stopped seeing it. Look at Twilight & gg3 here just a bit above your post.

I nominate Montequest if he hasn't already been granted Expert status.

He knows a lot about over population and ecological issues.

Monte has the special rank of "Elite". Only 2 other members have this special rank.

:) But yes... we agree.

I nominate Shanny as an expert!

Not only does she know the in's and out's of the system very well, she has knowledge of a broad range of topics and makes many valuable contributions to PO.com.

That is a pretty disturbing photo clip MM. Is it from a movie? Hopefully, not from CC TV?

Now that Roccman's personal cyberstalker has tracked and followed Roccman to PeakOil.com in order to threaten him, I think it would be nice for this site to show its support for Roccman.

So, I think Roccman should have expert status as an expression of solidarity and support against his cyberstalker. (And some of the things Roccman posts are really quite interesting too).

I would second the motion, though for different reasons.

Rocc has always had some interesting posts and is an "expert" it seems in his own form of preparation. What would put me over the top is that he seems to have calmed down a little and is able to oppose someone with a little more civility (while still being passionate) than the past.

Either that or I am becoming more like him and I don't notice it anymore. :)

I nominate Steam Cannon for expert status simply because he clearly has a firm grasp on many things technical. I'll happily donate my expert status to him because I feel he is far more deserving of it than me!!

Thanks Steam for always giving us technical info on an wide range of topics. I've never seen anyone whip up a reply or post so quickly and jam packed full of links, info and pictures. Hats off.

I thought Steam already wore the "expert" crown!

I wholeheartedly endorse SCF's endorsement.

Steam is a class act. He puts enormous effort and substance into his excellent commentary. He has the gift of being critical without sounding sour.
