Yep, Supertramp LOL! Has nothing to do with the band, it's an autobio by an English fellow written about 100 years ago, and free online.
It's an interesting look at life for the down-and-out, the working poor, homeless, beggars, etc living in what were called "lodging houses", a kind of Down And Out In Paris And London, by a literary nobody. So it's not quite as fun to read as Orwell, but it's worth it.
Motorcars are only mentioned one or twice, bicycles a few times and I think they were penny-farthings, and apparently the way a lot of people of the poorer classes got around was simply by walking.
I think Revi would enjoy reading it, maybe Tommy Jefferson, PMS of course, a few who really seem to have internalized that our future is going to become quite Dickensian.
