If you could be young again in your prime, with full health, and full mental clarity, but keep all your knowledge, talents, experience, financial resources ect...

What would you do?

Funny, I can't think of anything different I would do.

That is weird, no, I wouldn't do anything different at all...

If I was really really young, I'd do this and try to do more of it, throughout my life!

I n the past 3 generations, I have only 1 ancestor die young. My grandmother was only 82. Everyone else made it to at least 98. None have made it to 100 quite yet. I figure this gives me another 60 years. I'm 40 now, I figure I'm still young and healthy.

However, I do wish I could be 5 again. Everything was so much easier when I was 5.

Get into the Army and stay there as long as they'd possibly let me even if all I ever got to do is peel potatoes.

I'd surf more. I'd hate to give up any of time spent skiing and mountain climbing, but I'd somehow fit in more time for surfing.

Seems I just posted to a thread like this but:

I wouldn’t start smoking or drinking.

Make sure I still met my wife.

I’d buy and borrow less.

Get out of CA sooner.

Become an archeologist, finish getting my degree in Journalism (with minor in history), sign up for the astronaut program, be a drummer in a heavy metal band, learn sniper skills, and finish the three books I started writing when our sons were little and have never finished..................sigh..............

That's the one thing I don't regret. I spent my youth chasing every sport to my hearts desire.

Be careful, surfing is one of those very addictive activities. I know, being an ex-windsufing junkie, I seen many peoples lives ruinned by this obsession. Climbing is another one.

I'm 18, I'm healthy, I'm 6'3 and 170 lbs and I have no expenses.

Sooo...hmmm....not really sure what else to say, I love peakoil.com so I'm glad I stumbled upon it, its really set the ball in motion for me to find an ecovillage / a way out :D

I do miss when I was in the single digits and I got to hang out with the cousins at the farm.

Oh right, I speak French, English and a bit of German. I also work in my provinces Assembly.

Could be a lot of pressure if you know how your life turned out. What if all the 'new' stuff you did ended you up in a worse place ?

Anyway, I would definately learn to play an instrument. I think it would be easier starting young. Spend more time on languages too.

Yeah .... that's it... OK be in the Army for life, even if all I get to do is peel potatoes, and on the side learn an instrument, a language, and take art classes.

You gotta be joking. The army wants soldiers, killing machines. They don't want tender souls taking art classes. Get real.

Hmm, 19, best health of my life, attending EMU...this time I would major in what I really wanted to do instead of what I got talked into and complete my bachelors in History with a minor in Archeology. Perhaps move to Alaska and spend my time researching Human Settlement/migration patterns to North America.

It would be the late 1980's so place bets through Vegas on the next few Presidents, the fall of the Berlin Wall and similer events to become independent of outside funding for my research. Invest in companies which I know will be successful in the 1990's because I recognize their trademarks from memory. Maybe start a Yak hobby ranch near Fairbanks. Depends on how much I win on those bets LOL!
