AIHA must be THE fatigue

Unread postby TwilightNanny » Sat 06 Oct 2007, 15:50:14

2-butoxyethanol causes the odd assortment of symptoms such as those listed for CFS, FM, CFIDS

Exposure looks like 'the flu' ... lesser exposure 'looks like' eyes burning & hurting ... farting ... diarrhea

I think this is THE FATIGUE that those with CFIDS must have Some signs are blood cells 'globbing together,' very high WBC counts; elevated RDW should be suspect.

Doctors need to LOOK at the red blood cells - not the traditional tests that they suspect will show up Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia. Maybe it is 'approaching' AIHA or IMHA before it is obvious on the blood tests? There will be other autoimmune issues, too, as 2-butoxyethanol exposures cause autoimmune metabolic issues

Suspect high or low blood sugar; high or low body temp; high or low blood pressure as side effects of 2-butoxyethanol exposure (autoimmune hypothalamus)

Question, RE: "information on soldiers' exposure to herbicides causing diabetes on military.com forum. Is there information or data about exposure to jet fuel, hydrolic fluid, and cleaning solvents also causing it?

Reply:

MOST definitely you will find 2-butoxyethanol in these. JET FUELS 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6 are labeled as pesticides and have the warnings of 2-butoxyethanol. (However, per EPA guidlines if you give the warnings you do not have to list the ingredient.)

This chemical should be suspect for the majority of cleaning compounds since the 1930s

I think 'bird flu' or the flu of 1918 has to do with MALE tanks (they had a cannon on them, not a machine gun) and that it was a worse version of this chemical. There were about 4,000 of these tanks from each of the countries back then. I think the explosive fumes blew around in the air & exposed people. I think Pres FDR's health ailments started back in those days as he got as close to the WWI front lines (then as Assist Sect of the Navy) as they would let him get ... and then he had a 'strange influenze' leading not to polio as is commonly believed, but to an autoimmune action on the nervous system that causes paralysis.

Stripper & paints and cleaning products have this chemical, as Dale found out

For military presumptive disability approval they have to find times when Agent Orange was a possible exposure for Vietnam & for Korean Vets. Too bad for many that they do not consider 'the other chemical' in the mix... and also during times when AO was no part of the 'equation'

2-butoxyethanol causes ...

Unread postby TwilightNanny » Wed 24 Oct 2007, 12:09:16

I found the comments on EGBE caused hemolysis of interest on an MSDS shared on trackpads.com. Generally you need to look at multiple MSDS info to get an overview of this chemical's effects.

Ask these questions on the 'checklist'. Most are not the kind of person to complain, and since those with CFIDS or CFS are concerned that their fatigue is not being found ... you may have the exposure & resultant effects without it showing up in the medical tests. At least get some quality air-tight goggles to wear when around this ... and insist on these for workers, too.

This chemical also causes pallops, cysts, and tumors either benign or cancerous. What we need are medical tests that show when our immune system is attacking us. Then the pains in the area of the kidneys or stomach or the headaches ... that are hormonal etc, could be found out.

I just took this info (by web pages) to the man in our town who does auto-body repair. He only wears a paper suit and no eye protection. He would HAVE to have the ills of this chemical, which are miriad. They never said so, however, his wife was VERY interested in what I stumbled across.

I also wonder about new moms & what they are giving them during child birth...I suspect this chemical is being given to new moms, and is the cause of depression and hormonal irregularites, etc ... I wonder about Valerie Plume's post par tem blues or DEPRESSION ... I wonder about Marie Osmond & her collapsing. There was something in the news about her health issues that caught my attention in the past, and Monday she 'fainted' after 'shortness of breath'

In short ... this chemical, per UK research, affects:

EGBE contributing to Climate warming?

Unread postby TwilightNanny » Fri 02 Nov 2007, 04:44:07

This chemical has no restrictions on how much put into the air ...since end of 2003 (per EPA changes) and when also added to the water, does that cause climate warming?

Something different is going on in recent years

I think the butyl (which chemists of oil companies are removing as much as possible from their compounds) is the most hazardous parat of ethylene glycol monobutyl ether

I heard that ethylene glycol in a product causes it to freeze at -20

HIGH white blood cells?

Unread postby TwilightNanny » Wed 21 Nov 2007, 12:21:08

HIGH white blood cell counts

For decades doctors would be thinking that that is an indication of an infection ... or lymphoma sign

NEW FIND for me ... was that spectacularly high WHITE BLOOD CELL COUNTs are another clue to the fatigue of Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome (Most probably at an advance stage, however. Although 'the flu' (that exposure) can kill you

Per definition, doctors do NOT know what the fatigue is. This is the most important population to give priority attention to.

I believe you will find that 2-butoxyethanol exposures are there for someone with CFIDS ... and that there are multiple exposure possibilities; that this chemical must be avoided at all costs by everyone of every age (our pets, too)

This chemical exposure looks like flu

It is NOT from a virus - a chemical poisoning

The FATIGUE of CFIDS is Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia aka Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia if I'm right - because that is what the research says this chemical causes ... and a whole lot more (I suspect most cancers especially of the blood & blood forming organs, kidneys, liver, skin, Central Nervous System. Especially brain tumors and leukemia for children of those strongly exposed.

This blood damage and these cancers per UK research. Most of the time the USA says it is not a very harmful chemical. And doesn't warn people to protect their eyes.

This is my 'expanded' list of symptoms of CFIDS

Check kidneys, too
Did you know that kidneys send a hormone to the bone marrow to help make red blood cells? And that kidneys help make strong bones?

Checklists for those with idiopathic anemia should have a question, "Did your dad or gradpa serve during war-time? Did your parent or grandparent work in manufacturing or painting business? ... do a lot of cleaning? Work during the Exxon Valdez oil spill cleanup?"

National Institute of Health site to check the products you use

Put in the 2 CAS numbers for 2-butoxyethanol CAS number 00111-76-2
and 2-(2-butoxy)ethanol CAS number 00112-34-5

And if there is more than 1-2% (Such as Simple Green that has 6%) ... Then protect your eyes with airtight goggles & air out any place that other people will come into.

Please look at BUTYL for your family's sake and for our environment

A chemist in Germany told me that BUTYL was short for 2-butoxyethanol aka ethylene glyco monobutyl ether

Oh, after reading this I have a couple of concerns. I friend of mine works as a school custodian (lots of exposure to cleaning chemicals) and has a lot of fatigue and pain around the kidney area.

Also, a dog of mine died prematurely with autoimmune hemolytic anemia - but what would he have been exposed to at home that could have caused it? Surely this chemical isn't in dog food?

Our pets? Our school janitors?

Unread postby TwilightNanny » Sat 24 Nov 2007, 13:32:28

Sweetheart. the exposure for our pets and our babies and anyone in our house ... is this chemical in cleaning products/ paints/ solvents such as those used by carpenters: EGBE or 2-butoxyethanol

The chemical gets in our eyes, and that is showing up as an exposure route to be careful of.

These cats had a horrible end, and the owners suspected that it was the chemical in Spot Shot Carpet cleaner. (Since it was aerosol and had 38% 2-butoxyethanol ...... & the company even bragged about it being safe) ... I suspect so, too

As to school janitors I have heard from several of them. Horrible things happen to them. When we see 'flu' going around at our schools we should first ask what janitors were using to clean the classrooms, the bathrooms ... & whether or not floor stripper was used recently .... NOT suspect it is a virus

Janitor, Dale, a part-time school janitor seems to be strongly affected

Realize this about 2-butoxyethanol

Info on 2-butoxyethanol I shared with Barbara

Sadest part of it all, is that you can't just go to the doctor and find out what ails you ... oh, a few points, but usually people are told that all their tests are normal ... and there is nothing wrong with them.

For your pet to have a diagnosis of AIHA is better than most people get. THAT fatigue is the proof that 2-butoxyethanol is the chemical of harm ... in the CFIDS assortment of symtoms (Now, how can you ask a dog if they are depressed, have headaches, short term memory loss and suicidal tendencies; difficulty concentrating, etc?
