$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Baldwin', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('dinopello', '
')The little tots are really cute, but the young teens who are still going around begging for candy really puzzle me.

I can think of worse things for them to do than go Trick-or-Treating.

Well that is certainly true, but not a great standard. But anyway, at least put forth an effort! The older girls like dressing up, but the teen boys most of them carried their skateboard and called that a costume or said they were dressed as a troubled youth. It was pretty funny though, at one point my friend's 4 year old dressed as a princess was handing out the candy and she made sure to make all the older kids say trick or treat just like the tiny tots.

BTW, boogy, Tater tots - good costume idea

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Eli', 'A')re the kids Fat as hell?

If they are then the answer probably is that the parents are even fatter and physically can't walk down the block without sweating to death and complaining that it is too hot even though it is 60 degrees outside. But by they have to get that candy!

These are the same people who ride around in those carts at the store. They are so fat they can't walk to get food so the solution? Why get a motorized cart.

 I know it's the devil in me, but I'd love to disconnect the battery in one of those things right when they're loaded up with Ho-Hos and Diet Coke, so they'd have to carry all that crap by hand up to the counter, or wait for the manager to come fix their scooter...
After fueling up their cars, Twyman says they bowed their heads and asked God for cheaper gas. There was no immediate answer, but he says other motorists joined in and the service station owner didn't run them off.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('threadbear', 'N')ext year the little farts will be thin, wearing hobo costumes, running their asses off from door to door hoping to score a potato.

 That one actually made me laugh out loud! You get to be my new quote, threadbear!

My favorite was a 10 y/o boy dressed as a hobo with a sign on his chest that read: "HOMELESS - WILL WORK FOR CANDY"

Too many kids these days forget about the trick half of the bargain in order to keep the adults in line. Back in the day, my brother and I would ensured that distributing the treats was less inconvenient than dealing with the tricks!

You got that right. I wonder what they'll do on Halloween, too.

Eight of these no-neck monsters this year. Pathetic. Three were in the raging hormone stage, too. Don't kids realize we need to assuage the spirits of the dead as they return to earth?

Sounds like this is happening all over. Frickin' weird. Should've given them printouts of the front page of LATOC. "Mommy mommy! The modern banking system is dependent on cheap fossil fuel!"

We had a good number this year, we ran out of candy. Lots of pirates.

What gets me is the kids in strollers too young to eat candy but there's mom pushing the stroller. You know who's eating out of that bucket ...

Dressed as subprime loan officers, were they? Have to give them a treat or the trick turns out to be attempted foreclosure of your house. Egging is so yesterday!

I'll bet all of those stroller bound creepers were all in over the top costumes. Let me assure you that's no accident.

I think you all will enjoy this NY Times article

Trunk or Treat!

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')runk-or-treating — also known as Halloween tailgating — solves the rural conundrum in which homes built a half-mile apart make the simple act of ringing doorbells require some physical fortitude. Where neighbors are strangers, these community events substitute family-friendly entertainment for the unwanted risks of what lies behind each door.

and

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '')You go trick-or-treating when you go to people’s houses to get candy,” he explained for the uninitiated. “You go trunk-or-treating when you go to people’s cars to get candy, and that’s much better because you can go around the cars a million dozen times and you don’t even get tired.”

it gets better...

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'A')nd for churches that had disdained Halloween as a pagan ritual, trunk-or-treating has become a safe alternative for parents — and pastors — who wish to keep a watchful eye on children, often encouraged to dress as biblical characters.
