No, I think all things considered, $150.00 is the new magic, 'I told you so' number. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, is now saying $100.00 is right around the corner.

Then as we approach $150, $200 will be the new 'I told you so' number. It will never end.

People are never going to take us seriously! I swear :(

Does anyone get the feeling peak oil is being kept from the masses on purpose?

6.7 Billion acting like me would be a real problem.

Indonesian Tapis Light now at $88.60, and NYMEX briefly showed $86.58.

I'm impressed. We may see NYMEX at $87 on Tuesday.

Son of a...

What's happening?

Is this all due to the Turkey rumblings?

Or are the hedge funds piling in?
Peak oil is not an energy crisis. It is a liquid fuel crisis.

It's a bidding war. The ELM is kicking in. Q4 was always going to be a few mbpd more than tight. The other thing IMHO is the fear of a collapse in the price has receded due to dollar weakness. There are no shortage of dollars to chase what oil there is available.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I')s this all due to the Turkey rumblings?

There are reports of clashes between the Turks, Kurds, and Iranians. However the market rose more when this news came out:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'U')S missile fired 'by accident' in Qatar: report

DOHA (AFP) — A Patriot missile was launched accidentally from a US military base in the Gulf state of Qatar, landing in a farm but causing no casualties, Al-Jazeera television reported on Tuesday.

"A Patriot missile landed on a farm belonging to a Qatari national after being fired by accident from the As-Sailiyah camp," the Doha-based satellite channel said.

The US military said it was looking into the apparent misfire, but declined to give any further details.

"We're investigating the incident, which happened last night," said As-Sailiyah camp spokeswoman Holley Silkman.
