How bad have the moon-sighting wars been in your hometown? We're about split between Friday and Saturday. I'm going with Friday.

I want to put out the fires of Hell, and burn down the rewards of Paradise. They block the way to God. I do not want to worship from fear of punishment or for the promise of reward, but simply for the love of God. - Rabia

Wa Allah yabarek feek

As a reminder part of the celebration of Eid al Fitr is the giving of alms to the poor. Giving alms is one of the tenants of Islam and is actively practiced during this time.

This should remind us all that Islam and terrorism are not meant to be entwined.
