$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('mercurygirl', 'N')o.

No? Okay, but can you tell me how do you know that, ie what make you come to that conclusion of yes or no or do you just guess?

Thanks

No. Not the same person.

I once had a fantastic art teacher who taught me how to draw, paint, and sculpt portraits. Primarily from photograph, but also from model. Because these photos are all from different angles and may have had their colors shifted around in photoshop or on my screen on in the camera, I am focusing on the shape of the nose, especially at the nostrils. Nose shape differs significantly between people, especially between non-related people. It is pretty rare for a person's nose to be missing or obscured.

There are plenty of other differences, but none as simple to spot with confidence.

Yeah, I was comparing the noses also, but all the other features as well. Just isolating the features I suppose. We humans are pretty good at mapping faces.

Here's something interesting:

Facial recognition slipped into Google image search

Not the same. The eyebrows convinced me first.
Stop filling dumpsters, as much as you possibly can, and everything will get better.

Just think it through.
It's not hard to do.

Thanks for the forensic analysis Mr. Laughs_Last

What do you mean by the shape of the nostrils? Girl#1 is smiling real big and Girl#2 is straight faced and shows no smiling, so perhaps when you smile your nostrils will naturally stretch out and elongate will they not? I'm just playing devils advocate cause I don't want a false negative.

Mercury Girl and Other, @ airliners.net you *CAN* search based on image context similarity

However its limited to searching only airplane photos at that website.
Google should crawl scan and catalog every picture, image, photo, video clip, flash animation, 3d model /mesh and create a unique eigenvector or digital "DNA" signature or eigenvector of each image / video on the web, etc and then instead of searching for media content by using keywords and tags (which are arbitrary at best) we could just present the search engine with a photo or video clip that we found somewhere and it will check to see where the original originated from. I'm sure Google aka NSA aka Homeland Security are working on this at least for the war on terra efforts right???

The concept is a little like Microsoft Photosynth but not quite. It would we cool to have any image and immediately know where it was taken, who it is, etc etc... Photosynth will potentially allow you
to know "WHERE" any picture/photo was taken, maybe even "WHO"?

We already have algorithms that can already extract and extrapolate what kind of new music we would like to hear based on our previous listening selections. Pandora and Last.fm, although they are not at all accurate...

It would be cool to be able to do selective algorithmic mix - Matching, so we can 'create' out of thin air our own unique distinct representation of what to us would be ideally the most beautiful and perfect looking female/girl in the world. Basically computer gives us 2 facial images we choose which one is better, this simple but evolutionary irritative process ultimate will narrow down by natural selection and evolutionary darwinsim our 'other half' ie the one girl (even if existence is on the abstract platonic existential realm/plane) that we would find THE most absolutely stunningly gorgeous and breathtakingly beautiful.

Nothing like this exists, but Babe Vs Babe is a good start. Although I got to admit at that site it "Google Ranks"
female photos based on what the COLLECTIVE finds most attractive, which in most circumstances would seldom be
what YOU the individual find most attractive. They need to incorporate all the best aspects of P2P, neural networks, distributed processing, social networks, quantum computers, and make it available to all so we can progress to Omega Point and this will indefinetly postpone Easter Island / Oludvia Gorge, ok just kidding ;-)

So the consensus is this girl#2 beyond a reasonable shadow of a doubt is NOT girl#1?

Thanks

There is a reason why one online caricature site is called The Nose and another organization's awards are called the Golden Nosey.

Still, this thread is creepy. Like, the VIZ Comic character "Billy No-Mates" creepy. Like the latest fat German kid getting all enraged at his computer on YouTube creepy. Like meeting one's latest infatuation/stalkee because she found one sodden drunk at the bottom of the stairs creepy.....

See, this is why I don't log in much anymore....... :?

I saw this one digg: Beware the MySpace Angels, and figured you all would enjoy. It's a good opportunity to compare noses.
