We're drifting off topic. Ludi doesn't approve of that. Oh, but I do love to laugh. But in honor of her topic, negativity is shite. I hate it. Realism is shite too, and I hate that even more. What I like is the folks who say that Peak Oil isn't coming for another 25 years. Yeah! That's what I want to hear.

Negativity is not important to me, the truth is. Sadly, the truth its pretty negative, so it's important to me by default it seems.

Wishing you all the best for the coming months,

Res.

Did you have to remind me? It's like a tooth ache that won't go away. I'm going to watch some movies and try to escape, for a little while. My son gave me the whole second season of Rome. Man that's some entertainment.

Mwahhgggh. Is there anyone here that DOESN'T have a disability/difference of some sort??? (I have one too if you really need to have a mutual hugging-session.)

So, let's discuss negativity and what it does for you, how it makes you feel better or whatever benefit you derive from it. Do you feel it helps you personally, or does it help others? Is it just a reflex or is it an intentional philosophy?...

I avoid negativity just like I've avoided this thread for the last two weeks.

I still wallow in it on a regular basis but I usually put a different label on it so it tastes better.

Which brings me back to avoiding this thread: doing so makes me feel like I'm winning!

I suppose in my case much of it is driven by reflex and my repackaging is intentional. (since I see it, and continue to do so, I must mean to . . . simple)
Stop filling dumpsters, as much as you possibly can, and everything will get better.

Just think it through.
It's not hard to do.

The definition of negative is portrayed or in general public understood to look like this.

What I find most draining (and I assume I am not the only one) is the fact that each and everyone of us is forced to be an accountant these days.

Money management (in all its variations) seems to set the tone on a positive or negative outlook.

Has it always been that way historically? Certainly not, money is only a couple thousand years old and a demonstrates an intelligent extension of traditional interactions between individuals or groups of individuals.

It is somewhat bothersome however to ultimately be at the mercy of the most effective accountants (which does not mean that I have an issue with bankers, the opposite is the case).
