Wild Foods - BBC

Unread postby Resurrection » Sun 16 Sep 2007, 09:02:27

Incredibly boring but very information rich documentary that is still being aired weekly. It sets out to speculate on how Hunter gathers in the UK would have lived, and what foods would have supported them though the seasons.

I was surprised how much food could be taken from the ground or coastlines! Much of the stuff they cover in this I'd have no problem eating, it's not all bugs and slugs :)

I'd recommend this as a good starting point for those who have become peak aware but have no real preparations, as it's very fesable with some knowledge you can live off the land.

So far 3 have been aired, and you can watch them here. I think a new one is aired every Sunday in the UK, 7pm BBC 2.

Thanks for this, Resurrection.

I don't find it boring at all. I find it incredibly interesting.
