I wonder if they see their human host as their "world"? What if this is an alien invasion ? Instead of humanoid creatures using advanced technology to travel vast distances . Our invaders are barely sentient bacteriological parasites that left a gravitationally , atmospherically dead planet on a bit of rock and have landed on our planet after a million year voyage thru space? Or maybe they're very aware and are lulling us into a false sense of invulnerability, so as to more easily infect a larger percentage of us before letting their intentions be known. Either way these little space creatures could potentially be catastrophic . I'm gonna wash their undeveloped spores off my body right now.
