$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('mos6507', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('roccman', 'T')he shit hit the fan 10,000 years ago with the advent of agriculture..

If that's what you think, why aren't you living in a cave somewhere instead of posting on the internet?

Man has been doing agriculture for hundreds of thousands of years. The modern theory that it only developed ten thousand years ago is false. Side by side there have always been aboriginals. You can go to the Andaman and Nicobar islands even now and they are living like they did for thousands of years.

Really? I'm not saying your wrong but I've never seen anything claim that it all started around 13,000 years ago is false. I'd be interested to see where you got that information.

"hundreds of thousands of years"? So you're claiming man has been practicing agriculture since before he was Homo sapiens sapiens? Can you provide some reference for this claim? Thanks.

Don't confuse "agriculture" with "horticulture" these terms are used in anthropology to distinguish between different styles of growing food plants, and the meanings of the words aren't the same as lay meanings.

Many non-civilized peoples practice/practiced horticulture, but agriculture is a feature of civilization.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'D')eveloped independently by geographically distant populations, systematic agriculture first appeared in Southwest Asia in the Fertile Crescent, particularly in modern-day Iraq and Syria/Israel. Around 9500 BC, proto-farmers began to select and cultivate food plants with desired characteristics. Though there is evidence of earlier sporadic use of wild cereals, it was not until after 9500 BC that the eight so-called founder crops of agriculture appear: first emmer and einkorn wheat, then hulled barley, peas, lentils, bitter vetch, chick peas and flax.

Umm... that's not entirely accurate:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Wikipedia', 'T')oday only the Sentinelese, who live exclusively on North Sentinel Island, have been able to completely maintain their independent state, resisting attempts to contact them. The Jarawa have also managed to remain substantially apart from the later colonisers and settlers; other Andamanese groups have had more extensive contacts, resulting in drastic reductions in territory and numbers, with several peoples becoming extinct altogether.

Hunter/gatherer societies don't live "side by side" with agriculturalists, because agriculturalists invariably drive them out, assimilate them or extinguish them. That has been the story of "civilization" from the Sumerians onward.

I wouldn't necessarily buy we just popped up in civilizations on this planet in the past 5 thousand years. What about all these underwater cities that have popped up in the past 10 years conventional science doesn't want to accept or explain?

Who the hell said anything about civilization starting within the last 5,000 years? 10-12,000 is the general range being given in this discussion.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('The above linked article', 'D')ebris recovered from the site - including construction material, pottery, sections of walls, beads, sculpture and human bones and teeth has been carbon dated and found to be nearly 9,500 years old.

Few, if any, in the archaeological community believe these to be anything other than natural formations at this point.

Same with these...

Mind you, I'm not saying it's not possible that there were prediluvian civilizations (I happen to believe that Sitchin makes a compelling case in this regard), but for purposes of this discussion I'll stick with the generally accepted archaeological timeline.

If you have to ask, then the answer is NO. The shit has not hit. Too many times people on this site have tried to set a date for doomsday...needless to say it always has gotten postponed.
