Don't confuse "agriculture" with "horticulture" these terms are used in anthropology to distinguish between different styles of growing food plants, and the meanings of the words aren't the same as lay meanings.


Many non-civilized peoples practice/practiced horticulture, but agriculture is a feature of civilization.
