No FISA Wiretap Cave-in Outrage?

Unread postby AlCzervik » Tue 07 Aug 2007, 21:23:46

The Democratic boards have been going bonkers over this sellout. Here is some flavor.

Good explanations here for why it is scary.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'A') court ruled months ago that BushCo was breaking the law with their wiretapping program, yet the program continued anyway. Now the Democrats are negotiating with this criminal administration about updating the FISA laws to accommodate the wiretapping.

This is an IMPEACHABLE OFFENSE and it wouldn't take years to prove it! Even the most simple-minded American could understand it: the court ruled, BushCo ignored the ruling and continued to break the law ... GAME OVER!!! Why are the Dems negotiating with the WH? Why are they even discussing the possibility of changing the law to get BushCo off the hook? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!?!?"

Will Someone Please Explain This To Me?

The government should just let the innocent terrorists commit another 9/11. Then the Left will beg the government for a police state.

Just elect Hitlary, then she can crash the dollar via sanctions against China. Her buddy G already setup the police/nanny state so who the hell cares what the hell happens at this point.

There was nothing wrong with the system as-is. All you had to get was court order. You could even get it after the fact. Just do your spying, and get the stamp on the action later. I don't understand why that would change. It will be fun to watch a right-wing lackey such as yourself go apesh-- when Hitlery is pushing this stuff.

Sorry, mods, I didn't see Gideon's thread. Feel free to merge.

I haven't noticed. And so what if they are? I'm not doing anything wrong so I have nothing to worry about. I'm glad.

It's interesting that most of the provisions in the "Protect America Act" - automatically expire in 180 days without further congressional action.
