Moller M200G Hover-Car In Production and Selling for $125k.

Image

Moller International, creators of that stunning red flyingcar prototype seen web-wide, has started production on the M200G, the consumer-ready derivative of the M200X volantor, and is readying the machine for the open market. Depending on engine costs, the M200G will cost between $90,000-$125,000. Video:

According to the press release, the machine can hover 10 feet off the ground and cruises at a speed of 50 mph. Because the M200G is classified as a recreation device and not an aircraft, it is not subject to FAA regulations and anybody can operate one. No official release date has been announced.

The wings fold, they have emergency parachutes and they are only half as efficient as a hummer... Too bad they came out at the end of the petroleum era. But perhaps appropriate too, they are pinnacle of coolness and the pinnacle of waste!

And just imagine how that thing could be as the toy of a biofuel serfdom. There could be 1000 biofuel farm slaves working in Brazil to fuel that thing! What a horrible toy that could be for future kings of the world. Not sure that's how things are going to end, but that's how it could go...

What a beautiful and terrible thing. A shining star in a world of darkness.

A MORE LIKELY FUTURE

Unread postby mark » Sun 05 Aug 2007, 11:39:19

Do you really think the PTB are willing to give up their comfortable life?

If you had the power and were a sociopath, would you?

Many, me included, have been unable to reconcile our government’s actions, or inaction, concerning peak oil, our bubble economy, perpetual war, etc. The list of problems we don’t seem to be addressing goes on and on. My question has always been, why! Why do we seem unable to get a grip on the myriad problems before us? This has led some to suppose that “they” just don’t get it; or, conversely, that “they” know and are ‘gettin’ theirs while the gettin’s good.’

It doesn’t matter where truth comes from; take it where you find it.

Every once in while a movie comes along that actually tells the truth. Of course, you have to know the truth to recognize the truth, but then that’s the purpose of the red pill. For example, years ago, before my own re-education, I saw the Warren Beatty film “Bulworth.” A funny, interesting movie. A year ago I bought it and watched again. The difference this time is that I know the truth and was therefore able to recognize his speech near the end, just before he’s killed, as the TRUTH. If you don’t remember it, it’s worth another look, you’ll recognize the speech I’m referring to and seeing Beatty in hip hop gear is worth the price alone.

A more recent film, “Shooter,” contains a little rant by another Beatty, Ned this time. “…there are only haves and have not’s…” is the gist of that bit of truth. He then asks, “What side do you want to be on?”

A more likely future – Civilization will survive in enclaves of wealth and power where progress is not only possible but probable. For those on the inside the consumer life goes on; life is good. For those “outside,” think the worst doomer scenario imaginable. That’s where we’re headed.

So now I’ll ask you, where do you want to be? Some will get to make the choice, most, those who’ve sold their soul to debt, will have the choice made for them. Think carefully, choosing the inside has ramifications too. To enjoy the fruits of plentiful energy, food and a consumer lifestyle, you’ll have to give up a few things you now hold dear – like truth and knowledge.

Do you really want to be plugged in again?

What people fail to realise is human nature... People will only and have ever only done what is good for them and, perhaps their family. If someone else gets a raw deal, thats "their problem"... Now ask yourself, what does a billionaire tycoon or someone who owns a bank want? And what will they want where the pie that is the global economy shrinks...?

Not quite. I have no problem with living well as the masses descend into hellish agony.

But then, it's been suggested by many that I'm a sociopath - a title I wear with pride.

The rich and powerful move to Dubai and run operations out of there. They use predators to make sure the "farmer" (the other 99%) are doing what they are suppose to be doing.

I've long disagreed with the idea that the rich will be able to buy their way out of the consequences of a ravaged Earth.

The experience of what it is to be rich will be radically redefined . . . downward.

Remember in "Soylent Green" when a stick of celery was considered an outrageous luxury?

Yes, there will still be unequal distribution of wealth, but when the Earth itself is severely impoverished, there will be less for the rich, too.

A rising tide lifts all boats, but the opposite is also true!

That's exactly why it will have to come down to big war! There isn't going to be enough to go around for the big fish in every powerful system.
When it comes down to it, the people will always shout, "Free Barabbas." They love Barabbas. He's one of them. He has the same dreams. He does what they wish they could do. That other guy is more removed, more inscrutable. He makes them think. "Crucify him."

Heinekein-

After reading the NG article on the Maya, i'm starting to think you might be right on no one escaping. In their case they all pretty much disappeared. I do see more wars, lots and lots of fighting, and a mad max type scenario.

Chaos and unpredictable events for everybody. Government, Wealthy,Poor, white, black, green and purple.

I think TPTB, Governments, including the US Government, the Wealthy, are all going to struggle and are struggling right now, with the unpredictable nature of globalization, Peak-Oil, the level of complexity, Climate Chagne, pandemics, Wars, etc etc

And the cable connected to the crane while it was 'flying'? This doesn't belong in PFTF, especially a PO one.

In a way, the rich are especially dependent on the status quo, especially the legal and financial systems. Chaos and collapse can take it all away from them very quickly.

Yes the future is now!

Look at this little beauty, it runs completely on renewable energy generated by solar power.

The flying car has never flown. Moller International has perpetrated an elaborate scam for decades. Investors have been bilked out of something like forty million dollars so far.

The hover toy is yet another scam.
