$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('dinopello', 'I')t is a great article, probably an interesting book as well.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', ' ')It's safer to put a boy in front of a PlayStation for a while, but not in the long run. The irony of making boys' lives too safe is that later they take worse risks on their own.
This is so true. Kids, boys and girls gotta learn some things on their own.
I'm not sure what I learned, but I recall when I was about 5 or 6, my best friend pointing his father's .38 (that he kept in his dresser) at my face and pulling the trigger. The bullet passed so close to me that it bruised my cheek. He got the living tar beat out of him for that (by his Mom who was in the house at the time) - fortunately
they didn't tell my parents. We later used the hole in the wall that went from his parents room into his older sister's to spy on her.
It's interesting recounting the crazy things that happened growing up, and how lucky we are to still be alive with only a few scars to show. What will the nintendo kids talk about ?
The kid with the .38 was killed in a car crash in 10th grade, BTW.
He'd probably be living if they did tell your parents. Life is a complicated thing you know. But why YOU didnt tell them? How did you explain the bruise?
