I also never donate to anything, but this is the first time I would feel like my money would be well spent. Bad times are ahead, but if the USA can reduce its spending to a fraction of what it is, the effects would be more gradual and spread out. People would be able to adapt better. If we continue down our current course, the crash will be so bad, it will be like a bullet train slamming into a mountain.
The government needs to cut spending on not just the war, but so many other things. We have to stop building roads, and stop subsidizing industries. That may increase traffic and hurt jobs, but we need to spread the pain out, not just keeping borrowing and hoping the day of reckoning will never come.
