Anybody remember The Adams Family?

Who remembers Lurch?

Did you know that Lurch was also Thing?

That's right... except for the scenes where they appeared together, & thing was played by a crew member.

Now you know...

:)
The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.

I just borrowed a huge book from the library with about 300 Addams cartoons, great stuff! He actually did about 1300 for the New Yorker, so it's not all his output by any means. Great stuff! He was a real sick fuck after my own heart, lots of good peak oil stuff in there too - flooded NYC, Empire State building being dug out of an archeological site, etc.

Remember that stock data ticker in his living room? Remember Gomez reading the tape and getting all excited when his stocks would fall?

They were like the anti-family, yet still cohesive. I think they also had a 'vacuum' cleaner that blew out dirt instead of sucking it up.

I was a pale, gloomy kid with long dark hair, I wore two long braids to keep it from getting tangled. I had a tendency to mope and wear a lot of black.

The pretty blonde popular girls started calling me Wednesday, and it stuck. They would sing the "ooky" song while they walked past my locker. It hurt my feelings something fierce, but I pretended not to hear them.
I hated it at first, but by the time I got to high school I had learned to rock the goth look and those mean girls were imitating me.

Some of the people I grew up with really think my name is Wendy, it's actually Pamela. I will answer to Wendy/Wednesday to this day. It's as much a part of me as my own name.

I still wear black. Maybe I was destined to be a doomer.

All my life people have been telling me I look like Carolyn Jones.

I also got called Winnie a lot, from that show The Wonder Years.

Flintstones had the "Grousoms" as neighbors, in imitation of those shows.
