I think you'll enjoy the classic from 1977:

Or the Simpson's version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCfDRvDWid0

No, I think about myself in relation to microscopic particles rather than planets and stars. ;)

When I stare at the stars at night I see the vastness of the Universe and realize how small and insignificant we are in the vast scheme of things. It makes things like PO seem less important and I find myself lost in the moment of Cosmic Consciousness. Then I wake up the next day and it's back to the problems of this world.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Raphael', 'R')ead on please, what those pictures of the Stars failed to do, I will attempt to do with words...humble you.

I read on but I think you got distracted.

Want to try again? ;)

Try to be more succinct this time. Quantity doesn't necessarily equate to quality, think of the mighty black hole as an inspiration. ;)

Awesome thread! It shows how insignifigant we really are. In the grand scheme of things none of us or our problems matter. From the perspective of the universe our sun isn't even big enough to be considered bacteria. What does that makes us... less than bacteria? What makes the human race think that they're so great?
