After reading this article, I started thinking about having 13 years of relief from the Peak oil Dume Scenarios, but what I am more worried about the arrival of Global Depression before 2010.

Looking at the world economy and where it is heading, can't you guys sense a global depression coming before 2010, starting with a recession in mid 2007?

Senior citizen agrees.

Energy shortfall [oil, natural gas, coal] should cause an economic depression.

For those who still think the way we live is the only way of life is up for some pretty bad shit. When people start to realise what we have done and that there aint no way out, it's gonna be a big "chock". When we start to realise we have been running as fast as ever in the complete wrong direction and the road back isnt going to be nice, infact it is going to be like hell is set loose for a while.

The only different is that this hell is coming to the west, the rich world. Its been around for quit some time. Soon we cant hide any more cause its on our doorstep.

Depression is coming for those who live wrong, those whoms lifes are controlled by oil and money. How early it comes I don't have a clue....soon. One thing is sure though, it is coming...and alot after that.

I wish I was wrong, I wish my thoughts are wrong and that oil aint going to run out. The world is healty, the animals aint dying. The oceans are ok and the fish are ok. The climate aint in danger. But are we talking about the same planet? I'll guess we going to find out pretty soon.

No...I don't foresee a depression until the larder starts to obviously run dry...in another decade or so.

At the rate that Chindia is adding value into the capitalist system, nothing short of a massive shortage of the raw materials driving their production juggernauts will impact the world economy (and here I mean the planet and not just America alone).

In the meantime, the climate will be driven relentlessly closer to it's tripping threshold and society in general will polarise down to the nth degree....with the consequence that when TSDHTF, you're on you ownsome lonesome to fend off the packs that are gathering in numbers in those areas of capitalist utopia neglected for these past decades.

Hopefully, the neo-dumbs wont have had a chance to wreck Cuba in which case I would recommend sailing a tub to Cuba for asylum.
