Due to overwhelming demand (well, one person, actually, but who's counting?) I have decided to offer a few observations on how you can join the Dark Side.

Jack’s “Join the Dark Side” thread – or, Evil for Fun and Profit.

Have you always cheered the so-called bad people? Do you get a thrill when you see Darth Vader stride onto the screen in Star Wars? Have gunslingers in black hats seemed better than sniveling idiots wearing white hats? Does Ebenezer Scrooge seem more appealing before he weakens, and starts helping that miserable Cratchit? If so, then you may be destined to join us – the followers of the Dark Side!

The first thing to realize is that “good”, however defined, is a quality often admired but rarely practiced. Most often, it is a term used by the weak and inferior to manipulate and control the strong. You must break these chains and throw off the false shackles. Do not be a slave to the inferior. You are meant to rule them, to control them. How dare they apply their pathetic judgments to a follower of the Dark Way! So when they attempt to use their base tactics upon them, laugh. Scorn them, and their standards. Reclaim your freedom as the first step upon the path.

Next, you must make yourself hard and cold as steel. The manipulation spoken of in the first step is widely practiced, and not with words alone. The television screen presents images that ensnare the mind and spirit. You will see images, most often of children or infants, but also of adults, existing in some dire circumstance or other. Once again, others seek to enslave you, to rob you. To dispel their false standards, recognize that the discomfort or death of others does not affect you in the slightest. It is good to ignore them, better to sneer at them – and best of all, to ridicule and mock them. When next you see a starving child on the screen, regard the event as an opportunity to harden your heart and mind. It has been said that one becomes what one thinks; you will know you have succeeded when you cannot feel compassion. Be glad when the taint has been expunged!

Another attribute you must develop is deceit. Learn to smile, and nod, and give a soft answer as you mislead and deceive. It is best to develop the ability to lead an innocent person (or persons) to destruction and ruin, most especially when they have done nothing to earn your enmity. Their pain is reward enough; seeking material gain can detract from the pure darkness of the act itself. If you can pass this small test, you will have no trouble working for the destruction of those who might have earned your wrath.

Do you doubt the power of the Dark Side? Observe the propaganda, constantly proclaiming the falsehood that evil loses to good. They fear us – they fear YOU – else they would not spend so much time, effort, and money spreading such transparent lies. Good often loses to evil, though we of the Dark Side learned long ago to cloak ourselves. Consider those who wrap themselves in a cloak of light; look carefully, and you will see the darkness entwined about them. If they say they follow the other side, they lie. If they believe it, they simply deceive themselves.

The final chain, which you must break to be truly free, is the fear of divine judgment and damnation. Religions of every sort tend to assign the “good” to Heaven and the “evil” to Hell. Yet, the celebrated heroes of the various religions often use tactics that would make the most “evil” blush! Thus, it is evil to kill – unless one is killing heretics, or infidels, or this group, or that. Was it not Milton, in Paradise Lost, that wrote, “The mind is its own place, and in it self can make a Heav'n of Hell, a Hell of Heav'n? If you are not yet a brother (or sister) of the Dark Side, you may well recoil at this thought. Perhaps, from an early age, you were taught to subscribe to some set of beliefs of what was right and wrong, what was good and what was evil. But you are not truly free so long as you permit these thoughts to limit you. Ultimately, you must decide; not everyone has the strength to look out into the universe and proclaim themselves a follower of the Dark Side. Yet, if you seek freedom and power – this you must do.

And what, you ask, will you gain? The greatest treasure of all. You will regain control of your own soul. Above all, you will know the freedom, the power, that only those of the Dark Side experience.

People who really believe that they are so very good, and I am so very bad have always disappointed me. Such transparent hypocrites! Even if they think they are being "darker" than me, they aren't, and I'd cut them to pieces if it was worth it. They are like Charlie Brown hiding behind the sapling, and his head is sticking out from both sides.

But I think such types, that is, leftists and liberals, really believe their own lies. They really think they are the noble Jedi, and someone like me is a Sith. So I don't let on that I'm a Sith. I just wait for the moment, if it comes, that it's worth it to cut them to pieces. Maybe it never comes.

There's no fairness or justice in the world. There is quality of breed though. If the world is full of shit-breeds of humans, then the world will be shit. If the world is full of noble breeds, then the world will be clean, orderly, and relatively prosperous. Of course this is an "evil" fact.

The thing about CEO's is that they are happy to turn the world to shit for their short term profit. I don't like that. I want a world of high breed humans. Maybe I and those like me will succeed, maybe we won't. But I'll take a fucking horrible bloody revenge as a consolation prize thank you.

Unfortunately Neopo, you say you didn't take this thread seriously, however, even having said that, Jack doesn't say it was in jest, bc its not.

Despite all the nuts that are attracted by this kind of talk, One does not gain strength in another's pain as Jack suggests, one only gains strength, be it strength of character, body and spirit, by overcoming one's own pain, not relishing the pain of another. Empathy is not a weakness, nor does it mean others are trying to "control" you. "The dark side" is called the dark side for a reason, it is a lonely world with no friends, no hope, no one to trust, no one to love, where others relish in your pain and don't rejoice in your happiness.

Jack, I do know better than you, and deceit is a crime. There
are different elements to prove deceit, but there are any numerous crimes and torts of deceit and advocating a crime is prohibited by the COC. And the COC further states:
