Anyone made a PO booklist?

Unread postby MrMambo » Thu 08 Feb 2007, 07:43:16

There are probably more than a 100 books that discusses peak oil by now. Has anyone compiled comprehensive list of theese books?

Please supply some links if you have some...

If none exists then this forum should add a book list under the "resources" icon.
Give me hard facts! Show me the f** evidence. Don't just serve me Milton Friedman/Reagonomics "free" market preesthood dogma! I haven't seen that stable equilibrium of yours yet. I haven't seen that efficient economy yet. Where is it then?

I have a bunch of them listed in the link in my sig. Many of the books there are not directly related to peak oil though (though they are on related topics - permaculture, sustainable living, etc.).

I've read The Long Emergency by James Howard Kunstler, and Collapse by Jared Diamond.

I own but have not read Putting Food By by Ruth Hertzberg (I have an older copy), and The Rodale Book of Composting.

My wishlist includes Overshoot by William R. Catton, Edible Forest Gardens by Dave Jacke and Eric Toensmeier, and The Upside of Down by Thomas Homer-Dixon.

Once I've collected them all I am going to duct-tape them together and call it the Doomer Bible.

I made a list but then I lit it on fire.
I figure that was better for the environment then burning the actual books yet it would still please my Fascist Dictators/Leaders

Read all of Alexander Solzhenitzen's works!

If you don't kill yourself from depression you will survive peakoil just fine.

Seriously, it took two stabs and a 6 year gap for me to finish 'The Gulag Archipelago'

Nevertheless the writer is a fine, fine human being!
