Ferris Bueller appreciation thread

Ohhhh, yeahhhh, oh, oh. (Eat a Twix bar.)

This is one of my favorite movies. Even back when I thought the sun rose and set over my GPA and class rank, and I was taking Honors/AP classes to the hilt, I found the movie HILARIOUS! It also helps that I was born and raised in the Chicago area, so I have a bias towards any movie that takes place in Chicago.

One thing that I found ironic was that even though Ferris was taking it easy that day, he sure crammed more activity into his day off than a reasonable person in the real world could. Of course, the movie is as fictional as Star Wars, so Ferris Bueller could have had the ability to warp time.

Some of the funniest moments:
1. Ferris laments that he got a computer instead of a car while hacking into the school computer system and reducing his number of absent days from 9 to 2.
2. Ferris decides to joyride in Cameron's father's classic Ferrari.
3. Ferris fakes sickness to his parents.
4. Grace tells Ed Rooney, "You sounded like Dirty Harry".
5. Cameron calls Ed Rooney and pretends to be Sloan Peterson's father. Rooney suspects a fake and blows him off. Then Ferris calls on the other line to ask that his sister pick up his assignments for him. Rooney then has to apologize profusely.
6. Cameron, Ferris, and Sloan try to hide the mileage on the Ferrari by running it backwards.
7. Cameron wrecks the Ferrari.
8. Ferris has to get home before his parents.
9. Rooney breaks into the Bueller house.
10. The English teachers send Ferris a strip-o-gram.

There are so many more.

To get back on-topic, I wonder how Ferris Bueller would react if he learned about Peak Oil.

The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.
