From Battlestar Galactica:

Commander William Adama: "There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people."
The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

Jack Nicholson in Easy Rider

I went looking for the scene in Deadwood where Al passes the stones just as Doc is about to cut him open with his hands shaking but couldn't find it. That's one of the most intense scenes I've ever seen! 8O

Where do I start? Some of my faves:

The ending of Shawshank Redemption when Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins meet on the beach in Zihuatengo. One of my favorite movies.

"Here's Johnny!!" - The Shining

I like the pod race in Star Wars - Phantom Menace. A great scene to demo the surround sound.

Silence of the Lambs had some pretty intense moments. When Agent Starling first met Lector in the prison. And Lector's clever escape.

The chase in Terminator 2

Speaking of chase scenes, James Bond Diamonds are Forever, racing the Mustang in Vegas was cool.

Funniest moments:

Monty Python The Meaning of Life, Mr Creosote vomiting.

(skip ahead to the 1:00 mark)
"With the eggs on top! And don't skimp on the pate!"

Caddyshack, when the Babe Ruth bar was tossed in the pool

Smoky and the Bandit (I'm showing my age) was full of hilarious scenes. Gleeson leaving the diner with the trail of toilet paper
