French movie: Critical Skills for Post PO Survival?

This French movie, District B13, is set in 2010 when the French Ghettos have been sealed off from the rest of the country in Escape From New York fashion.

The French inventor of the sport of parkour, David Belle, has the lead role in the movie and demonstrates Parkour in this amazing chase sequence. The bad guys are after him because he's hijacked a shipment of heroin and flushed it down the drain. He lives in the ghetto and wants drugs kept out of it.

District B13

Personally, I think gravity-defying Parkour is a vital post-PO survival skill.

That is an amazing new sport. I was totally blown away in the first 20 min of the chase scene in Casino Royale.

I have heard is spun off from bouldering and free climbing. I loved bouldering when I was young dumb and unmarried. I twisted my ankle in a unatural way sliding down a 12ft free climb in Chandler Park in Tulsa 11 years ago. NowI have a busted achellies tendon to remind me not every bullfight between youth and gravity has a positive outcome.

Wow, I had no idea as I have seen only one James Bond movie in my entire life. The George Lazenby one. Maybe I need to check out the new one as everyone is raving about it.

I've been practicing lockpicking, and think it is a useful skill to have all the time.

All you need is a set of picks and a tension wrench.

OMG is that ever amazing. I have seen vids of free runners, but Cyril and David are just out of this world. Definitely going to find that movie, and watch it.

I got District B13 through Netflix. Get a subtitled version if you can as the dubbed version is reminiscent of those old Japanese Godzilla movie.
