I think that cognitive biases are very real. I do not think that the people who discovered these biases simply made them up.

Main effects vs. side effects.

A hammer is useful for joining wood, and not useful for finishing concrete.

Also the biggest cognitive flaw humans have is the lack of an "enough" feedback system for reproduction and consumption. As long as more sex is always good and more shiny new things are always good, we're going to be circling the edges of doom.

Bias is such a politically charged word. Maybe we could say "propensity".....


You expose your bias.
Stop filling dumpsters, as much as you possibly can, and everything will get better.

Just think it through.
It's not hard to do.
