 Took me a minute there. Looking at the properties on that second image makes the conotation more clear.

Yeah. Sure. I'm a wingnut. Takes one to know one right?

Sifting through the ashes every day
What we thought would never end
Now is nothing more than a memory

Sure Ruppert is out there. That's where the story is. He's in Venezuela now, getting a taste of ex-pat life. It's a good move. You can't really see your own culture when you are inside it. The way to gain perspective is to spend a few years looking at it from the outside. I lived in Latin America for a couple of years. It was probably the most valuable experience of my life. He'll be back. With insight.

SPG is correct, he's a little over the top at times, but some of us owe him big for all the hard work he had to do spreading truth. If nothing else, we should donate to keep his website online, it's quite a valuable resource.
I feel sad for him, he's far from his culture, feels persecuted, is broke, and pretty sick.

I have to second the motion that Ruppert is a wing nut. He said after Hurricane Rita that the US was finished as a nation and that when you hear the "click" of furnaces in winter '05 you are hearing the collapse of the US economy. That and he is quite paranoid. Are people out to get him or has he just attracted completely dysfunctional people who want to trash the FTW office when given the chance?

That being said I did like the article links to mainstream news articles that they posted and some of the writers were good at FTW.

I've had first hand experience with people who have exceptionally keen senses and high intellect and creativity. They are usually highly eccentric, and often hard to get along with on a mundane level. They are the visionaries, the leaders, the charismatics who lead their people "out of the wilderness" or into it. They can also lead their people right off a cliff. It's part of the personality comlex.

People like this are very dymamic and they attract the next level type--the true nutcases who try to contact the virgin Mary through a device built into their shoe. Sometime the visionary's visions ratchet into full blown ideological fantasies too, but I don't get a sense of that with Ruppert. He's made a couple of bad calls, but in the long run, history will view him favorably. His books may be read in classrooms one day.

Ruppert isn't crazy. His movement was likely the target of dirty operations.
