If Duckworth really meant and advocated more aggressive training for Iraqis then she's the better candidate. Unfortunately, it is known in the military that those kinds of assignments mean poor advancement prospects: it's a bad career move. Just another bit of evidence, perhaps, that the US has no intention of leaving.
