pstarr... you guys try that in the House in '07, and it'll be an express ticket to permanent minority party status.

That said, I hope they do! It'll be a riot.
Yes, we are. As we are.
And so shall we remain; Until the end.

Yes, I think so. We can go about creating a different way of life and support system for ourselves (by "ourselves" I mean people of like mind, whatever that may be - for myself, it means trying to work toward a sustainable way of life). This need have little or nothing to do with politics, or it may have a great deal to do with politics, depending on your personal preference and abilities.

Bill Mollison outlines an entire picture of how to transform the world society, starting at the individual and local level, in the last chapter of "Permaculture: a designers' manual." If we would in large numbers follow his outline (or similar overlapping and complimentary ideas), we could make an enormous difference.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('pstarr', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Daculling', 'J')ustice at home - ambiguous
there is nothing ambiguous about a living wage, medical care, and a guaranteed job. common sense.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Daculling', 'E')ducation abroad - Handouts
trade restrictions and marketing supports are handouts to american

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Daculling', 'P')opulation control - The world's current method of population control is "Moving to America"
why shouldn't they. we stole their wealth and now they want it back.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Daculling', 'I')'m not sure what world you live in but mine extends beyond the borders of the US. Your socialism is showing...
your knee-jerk half-baked conservatism is showing

I went out with others to spread the PO word. Yet somehow the concept is lost people that are already here. Check this out...

Any community could guarantee its citizens a job, security, and medical care, if that were a priority.

A large enough force may be able to make changes, either overwhelming numbers of citizens or a smaller group with an overwhelming amount of money or influence. For smaller, less powerful or rich groups you have to apply leverage. At certain points in history there is a moment when the right words and/or actions to the right people can cause a disproportionate effect. The trouble is these points are very difficult to recognise.
