$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('venky', 'L')ook, there is a lot of wrong to go around on this issue. I personally think Hizbollah is a radical Islamist or a terrorist organization which is responsible in part for the catastrophe unleashed Lebanon. And Israel is an immensly cruel country(mean the leadership) that does not have a clue how to respond besides bomb the f%&#k out of everything.
A state that forbids Palestinian refugees to go back to the West Bank, that has stolen 75% of the West Bank in the last 30 years, that maintains Palestinians in an apartheid-like kind of society, that slaughters, kidnaps, and steals from Palestinian civilians in an on-going basis is not just an "extremely hostile" state. It is a terrorist state.
Hisballah is considered a resistance guerrilla by most of the world. They are extremely different from Al Qaeda et al, and they have even condemned the actions of both Al Qaeda and the Iraki insurgent groups. I think it's unfair for people to judge them without taking a critical look at their history.
They've been accused of atacks that they never participated in, such as the killing of the American sailors in 1982. Thus, you can't take those accusations as a basis to classify them as terrorists.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'B')ut there is nothing to prevent exchanging views, as divergent as they may be without this level of hostility and insulting Arabs, Muslims, Westerners, Israelis and Peak Oilers.
You all ought to be ashamed of yourselves.
I agree, but that is easier said than done. When you're being atacked and disrespected again and again and again and again, you get to a point in which you can't help but to respond in kind. I'm not made of stone, you know?
Also, there are many times in which I refer to Western/American society in order to show those that are prejudiced against Muslims that their societies have many of the same faults. It is not my intention to insult any culture or religion, and I'd never bring those things up if it was not because it's necessary to dispel the prejudiced views of some people here.
And even as I do that, I make it a point not to generalize by including words like "many", "some", etc., something that most of the prejudiced posters here never do.
