$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('rwwff', 'N')ope.

I use mathematics and physics to explain the universe to the full extent that it is possible to explain.

Religious mysticism provides an adequate explanation for question like "where did the big bang come from". Those questions fully exceed our ability to answer, and there's no reason to pretend otherwise. In my text, I provided useable explanations that are acceptable to both religious and non-religious people. Accepting the religious explanation as a satisfactory answer for the origin of the big bang in no way prejudices one from studying and practicing science.

The same nope here. Religious explanation is not the answer. It's just a straw people grasp to explain things, which are out of human experiance.

It seems that you try to understand "Nothing" from a verbal point of view.

In mathematics the concept of "Nothing" its much simpler to grasp.

Try to see math as a very logical universal language and not just as a tool to solve problems. You don't have to define a god in a metaphysical way if you try that.

Yeah I had this one too ... a while ago ...

Wait a Minute, how could you post you cannot post when you cannot post because of a 406?

406 is caused by something in the text that you submit. Not my server so I can't really beat up on it to figure it out exactly.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Lighthouse', 'R')eligious explanation is not the answer.

Pretty absolute statement concerning something that is strictly unproveable.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I')t seems that you try to understand "Nothing" from a verbal point of view.
In mathematics the concept of "Nothing" its much simpler to grasp.

"Nothing" is not a word I would choose to use in this context.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')ry to see math as a very logical universal language and not just as a tool to solve problems.

My degree is in pure math, and my wife carries a PhD in the same. I get plenty of practice in this language that you speak of. I don't much understand the use of the word very though. Something is either logical or its not. Math is built on a set of axioms, expanded by application of logic to cover a vast array of intersting problems. I'm not sure what that has to do with selecting a divine source for the big bang.

It is an unproveable expression of personal preference, no mattter what angle you approach it from.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'Y')ou don't have to define a god in a metaphysical way if you try that.
Never claimed that you "have to define a god in a metaphysical way", I said I that choose to do so, and gave an aesthetic reason why I prefer to do so.
Are you having difficulty understanding the difference between "choose one of many", and "must choose the first of three?"

Error 406, logic error, your post included too much logic.

Touche.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'N')ever claimed that you "have to define a god in a metaphysical way", I said I that choose to do so, and gave an aesthetic reason why I prefer to do so.

It was you, as far as I remember, who accused me using New Age Metaphisical Jibber Jabba. But as a matter of fact it was you who shifted the discussion there. Religion is per definition metaphysics. It does not matter wether you are a christian, a wikka or a jew.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'A')re you having difficulty understanding the difference between "choose one of many", and "must choose the first of three?"

I think I lost you here. Can you please explain?

1) One, Many.

2) One, more than one, Many.

3) One, more than more than one, Many.

4) One, more than more than more than one, Many.

5) One, more than ...., Many.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('armegeddon', ' ')Boy, that was one heck of a smart explosion. Thats like blowing up a paper factory, and an entire set of encyclopedias come crashing down in full form.

I guess you never grasped evolution, huh?

These biological things weren't created, only the basic elements for life, matter, and energy. They evolved by way of random genetic mutations over millions of years.

There could not have been a "plan," as what we see as life are the result of adaptations to a changing unpredictable environment by random chance.

ahhhh! No. I wasn't accusing you. I was refering to certain other posts in the thread. Sorry bout the confusion there.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I') think I lost you here. Can you please explain?

Never mind. It related to the above misunderstanding. Now that I know what you were thinking, it no longer is applicable.

I'm of the parallel universe camp. There are an infinte number, and you could not experience a universe in which you did not exist.
