Another Interstate Sniper

Sniper Article

Can you imagine driving down an interstate highway and your windshield suddenly explodes. I know that part of the interstate, and along that stretch of I69 there are plenty of small county road overpasses (bridges) that have no interstate access. Perfect places for a sniper to shoot and run because there are few houses and a patchwork of county roads allowing many escape routes.

I just can’t imagine what would drive a person to get up one morning and decide he/she is going on a sniper rampage. What kind of social/personal pressure must someone be in to resort to this kind of madness?

Shooting perfect strangers. Spreading terror through the local population. A candidate for the death penalty if I ever saw one.

What really gets me is that this idiot comes from a small Midwest town. He is an example of a very frightening group of disaffected small town white males. Little education, no hope of college, no hope of ever making more than $10 an hour. They’re mean, drunk, well armed, and stupid. With a big chip on their shoulder because the they see the ‘American Dream’ passing them by.

Most folks don’t realize that small town USA has its own problems. Many of the folk who live in small towns around here derive most of their income from Social Security, SSI, and food stamps. Most small towns in the US also have a thriving black market in drugs and marijuana that are almost impossible for law enforcement to crack. Why? Because everybody knows each other. They know who has been arrested, they know who all the cops are. Hell, most of them grew up with the cops.

The point is that if these young hooligans ever got organized they would be a very dangerous group.

your fairly correct in all these assumptions except for stupid. i am part of this stereotype. i think peakoil will be a great organizer. hopefully i can sit in the background and stay out of the way of the mess they may make.

Nope, not a PO member, but very likely a KKK member. But I must admit I wondered where specop was that day. :lol::lol:

4. nobody likes to be sterotyped.
5. If you look like this guy, visit jenny craig and a reconstructive surgeon
6. Disaffected is not the term I would use. Annoyed to fucking hell with our government and people of the United States would be a better phrase to use..
7. I don't personally give a shit about peakoil, never have.
8. I like to cuss and am overly dramatic.


This is me, now why doesn't everyone else describe themselves, that way we can determine if we all fit a perticuler cookie cutter description.
