I always heard it as "Meddle not in the afraids of dragons, for thou art..."
"We were standing on the edges
Of a thousand burning bridges
Sifting through the ashes every day
What we thought would never end
Now is nothing more than a memory
The way things were before
I lost my way" - OCMS

A good phrase is always spoilt by poor spelling.

I thought the time honoured phrase was "Never work with children or animals".

And BYW spec, Israel may have been duped into this latest war. Don't forget that the current leadership in Israel is leftist. Leftists overreact and they aren't smart. Right wingers are more cunning and realistic. I think the Isreaelis with their current leadership are blundering. Time will tell.

Do you really revel in this?

And who is the sleeping dragon in the long run?

And if you did mean Israel then since when were they asleep? I've read and heard about their brutal 'defence' tactics my whole life!

And weren't rockets being fired into Israel AFTER the bombing started? Not before. Perhaps my memory is poor but it is very difficult to get a timeline now.

Thats not what the bumper stick said.

Dragons make hot love.

Thats the other.

Definately not my fault as to what it says.

Its funny how a saying can mean different things to different people.

When I first saw it, I had a mental picture of one of Bilbo's friends poking Smaug with a pointy stick and chuckling, soon to be eaten.

Some people relate the saying to Israel. Interesting.

You should let your mind play in fantasy land for a while, its alot more fun then real life. :o

There's nothing wrong with waking a sleeping dragon.

Just have the right kind of offer - the proper incentive, if you will.

Sometimes, a rich partnership results. The dragon gets more gold and maidens. You get rid of enemies. Life is good. 8)

Always remember: Once you lose your integrity...the rest is easy!

Oh I hear ya PMS... lol.... Spec seems fairly smart but I wonder how he got smart if he never went to school?

... speaking of 'fascism'... ha... generally when I read the 'f' word and more recently the 's' work I quit reading further. The 'f' word is so very spent 70's and the 's' word is so horribly and fashionably 'greener than thou.' In fact, I read an article a few days ago in the Oregonian about some guy who spent $700,000 or so on a 2,000 sq ft 'sustai....' (control your gagging reflex here...) home not including land. It had a/c which he claimed to rarely use... lol, like anyone around here uses the a/c that much... and every imaginable energy saving device known to humanity. As if anyone can run out and build one like this.... I'm getting ill just thinking about this.

Do you know a facist dragon? Dude, thatd definately be cool.

I should add, in retrospect facism was too obvious. Peice I suppose expcted, by definately worked out well.

Maybe Im pushing it too much.

Ah well, on to dragons.

You really know how to upset someone don't you Spec!

Maybe there's some way to set PO.com to ignore blown grammar and lousy spelling.

And another thing... 'cool', now that's another word I was thinking of including on my short list.

I understand the guy in Virginia who was asked a few days ago (on the evening before his execution) if he wanted lethal injection or the electric chair replied, 'the electric chair would be cool.'

OK, since this thread is destined for the heap anyway - lets play Where is Pops.
(Aarons idea but I'm gonna reap it while I can)
