There, you see, you don't get it. Manzoni made a pile of money with that stunt. My point is that Manzoni was right, he knew the score. It's been clear for a long time that Art requires elites. Democracy produces mediocracy and worse. Aristocracy is what the world needs. We just don't have any Aristocrats anymore. The greats worked under a system of Aristocracy, but the old Aristocracies became weak and corrupted. Who says democracy is the best sytem? It only works when the citizens are strong and honorable. We don't have that now.
