Maybe I should have put up a beanie too. We're just having some fun while we can. There's a nagging feeling in the back of mind that we're in for a major clusterfuck and it won't be pretty.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Atlantean_Relic', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Wednesday', 'I') guess the propellor beanie didn't convey the right amount of frivolity.

...Or perhaps you're just dead set on "misunderstanding" me.

I have offically lost interest in playful banter and this thread...I still want to buy UE a beer tho...

I'll spar with my own husband, thanks anyway!

Hopefully he understands your boundaries. But you might find the play around here is conditioned by a horrid sense of doom. Whistling past the graveyard, you might say.

This thread is a lot more fun than the MonteQuest versus JohnDenver threads.

Dear peak oil hoes:

Unlike that peak oil rock star Savinar, I didn't punk out on the legal profession as soon as things looked dire, so I think I have a little more cash to stockpile gold even though he and others may run circles around me in terms of survival prep. Just something to consider when figuring out which PO stud you want to roll with.

Yeah, I hear ya. I think it's widely recognized that it's sometimes difficult to communicate and understand text, especially humor.

My Master..I mean..my husband is home and I have to prepare the feast..I mean make dinner.

Good luck to all the singles, who knows, maybe we will have a PO wedding some day.

As usual, it would be a madding crowd of unattractive, nerdy young guys vs. one deer-in-the-headlights female, probably smallpoxgirl.

Nerdy doesn't always mean unattractive.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Wednesday', 'I') wonder if you're considered a long distance call, I can't figure out the area code system here. There appears to be only one area code and sometimes it's LD and sometimes it's not ??!? (lol)

That's common in more 'rural' areas (ie not cities that encompass an entire area code :)) so that you can't call huge land areas for free. There often is a guide in the front of your phone book that lists the local calling areas (although I have to hold on to an older copy of my phone book as the new ones have left it out). Number portability coming in doesn't help accuracy either (although not a problem here yet - maybe in the city where it doesn't matter?).

Here's a link to a site I use all the time too (although as of this particular moment the PHP isn't working right). Also useful for figuring out where a particular phone number is too - useful for time zones.

It's why I married my husband, he can look me right in the eye with his y chromosome flying and his pure, kind heart and its a beautiful thing.

Well that, and he looks great in jeans.

Thanks, adjusting to rural life has been an interesting challenge when you come from a city that never sleeps.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Kylon', 'H')owdy, this is the dating thread for Peak Oil singles! I thought we might need one, so I created it!

Anyway, anyone who wants to post information about themselves, and is interested in dating another person that's Peak Oil aware, please post information if you want.

I'm not really into dating right now myself, due to lacking resources and still being in college. I can't adequately support a mate, so I'm not posting personal information at this moment.

This is the real reason why I will never get married or even hook up at all. If women want you for only this reason and that is support then I say to hell with them all. Nobody should have to hook up with you for only those reasons. This is why society is so messed up right now because they want whats greener on the other side of the fence. I am not hurting for money nor am I hurting for love and I can rest assure support others if it were to ever come to that. But let me tell you something, I have seen women take advantage of men way more than I can count. I have five sisters that have done it and a mom that has been married more times than you can count. friends and relatives same thing. Women are like vampires that will suck you dry. Very (and I'll say it again) very few women are very honest and love you for who you are.
