Survival Kit Fetishism?

Unread postby Schweinshaxe » Wed 24 May 2006, 17:52:21

I'm sorry, but I can't resist the temptation to start another thread where I make fun of you PO-survivalists. :-D

Take a look at this site for example:

equipped.org

This is a heaven for the true survival kit fetishist. There are survival kit reviews, survival kit discussions and you can order survival kits from this site. There's even a 100+ picture slide show showing how the top of the line survival kit sold there is PACKED! It will take you at least a day to read through the information written about survival kits there.

I think this survival kit thing is fetishism. PO-survivalists are in fact sexual perverts. I can imagine what it sounds like in the PO-survivalist households out there...

"Look honey, I just bought this survival kit for only $49.00! It has everything we need in it when we have to leave our air conditioned 5 bedroom house and have to live from the land in the jungle post PO. 2 band aids, a small bag with 3 fishing hooks and 3 meters of fishing line, a whistle, a wire saw and a 19 cent signalling mirror. That's great! PO, here we come..."

Can't you find something normal on the Web to jerk off to like the rest of us?

Am I hallucinating, or didn't you ask this same question months ago?
(The answer to both those questions might be "yes").

What is this fascination you have with survival kits, Schweinshaxe? :P

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('TheTurtle', 'A')m I hallucinating, or didn't you ask this same question months ago?

A few months ago I was asking if someone had used a survival kit in a real survival situation or if someone knew of a case where it had been used. The answer was (after a lot of discussion) NO!

Well, I also think that these little wire saws are kinda cute...

Ah ha ... it was in this thread from Februrary - A Real Survival Situation? - where you asked $this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I')t would be very interesting to see how common it is to have your ass saved by a tin box filled with a compass, a wire saw and a condom.

I see a pattern developing here, my Nordic friend. :-D
